Throughout February 2022 I have been working with Miles Okazaki's 351 Shapes (www.milesokazaki.com/351-shapes). Each piece in this collection is based on one of the daily shapes and/or its modes in Miles' book. Except for the March 1 piece they are mostly recorded live on acoustic guitar and/or mandolin. In the background there are children, dogs, birds and when the wind was blowing, squeaking awnings. My discipline was to record every day, working with the associated daily shape. Not all recordings made it here. These are probably the most accessible!
